About
I’m Amanda, and I love to sell on eBay.
I’ve had an eBay account since 1999, so 25 years now. I joined mainly to purchase Beanie Babies.
Remember that craze in the 90’s? I couldn’t get enough of those little bean bag treasures! I eventually branched out and purchased many more things over the years. It suddenly hit me in 2017 that perhaps this would be a great way to make extra money. I dabbled around selling stuff around my home that I no longer wanted—things like clothing and books.
In the next few years, I enjoyed it so much that I decided to try to make a go of reselling full-time. I am nowhere near being a full-time reseller, but I’m working towards it. This blog was created to document the highs and lows of this journey.
Becoming a full-time reseller sounds like an easy way to make money on eBay, but it’s time-consuming, and you have to have a little background knowledge about what you choose to sell. So many things come into play when listing an item, and having a lot of patience if your item isn’t a hot seller is vital.
This blog is also a way to hold myself accountable for working towards my goal. So often, I start with good intentions, only to get derailed by life. I want to build a reselling business that will not only help pay the bills but also one that I can be proud of. There’s nothing like being in charge of your business, and eBay offers a lot of flexibility that I currently need at this stage in my life.
