What Sold On eBay February 24- March 10

I’m running a week behind on posting what sold on eBay, so I’m picking up where I left off and combining a couple of weeks.  It wasn’t too bad, and definitely better than last week.  Let’s dive in!

what sold on eBay

fb rogers silver shell nut

This week’s first item sold was a set of shell-shaped nut dishes.  I picked these up at Goodwill, and I paid $1.00 for them.  These sold for $8.00.  I originally had them for $10.00, but there are several like it listed on eBay, and I was afraid I might be stuck with them, so I took an offer.  When I picked them up, I thought they really might be worth something because of their age, but it was not so.  Oh well, a sale is a sale!

ruby road shirt

Next up was this Ruby Road shirt I picked up at our local thrift store.  I paid $1.00 for it, and it sold for $13.99.  It’s not bad, considering this brand isn’t really a mover.  Again, something I really didn’t know when I bought it.

soap opera people magazine

Another local thrift find- I paid $1.00 for this Soap Opera People magazine.  I took an offer of $15.00 and was glad to get it.  I saw many of these magazines for sale on eBay, but mine was the only one from 1987.  Maybe whoever bought this has a collection going.

kim rogers patriotic shirt

My last sale was this Kim Rogers patriotic shirt that I got for $1.00 at the local thrift store.  Again, not a big sale money-wise, but I was happy to see this unique shirt find a home.  I love picking up clothes that are different and not the norm.

eBay Sold By The Numbers

Total Items Listed– 112

Total Items Sold- 4

Fees- 15.69

Final Profit- $31.30

As far as fees go, I have a basic store, but I do promote my items to the percentage that eBay suggests.

Final Thoughts

I really feel like I dodged a bullet by selling some of these items. I messed up in that I didn’t do my research before purchasing them and just assumed they would sell because of their age or brand.  Next time, I plan on doing some research before buying any more vintage items to see if they are truly worth something. Still, I was pleased they sold at all, and even though the total amount of the sales was low, it’s still something!  I’ll keep trucking along!
